Fans of Liberty X have been whipped into a frenzy as their original members teased a "very exciting year" ahead.

The huge 90s group achieved ten consecutive UK Top 20 singles before disbanding in 2007, after the group was formed using the five contestants who failed to make it into Hear'Say on reality TV show Popstars in 2001. The band, which originally also included Tony Lundon and Kevin Simm, reunited for ITV2 documentary series The Big Reunion in 2013.

Michelle Heaton, Jessica Taylor and Kelli Young performed as a trio since 2017 but now they've got people talking again and even fuelled reunion rumours with their latest Instagram post. Fans are hoping they will become the latest big name pop group to get back together.

Michelle captioned the snap: "I feel blessed at times like these… living my best life at 44 on stage singing songs we released over 20 years ago to a sell out crowd. We've got some very exciting things coming our way this year .." Fans had plenty to say with one writing: "Liberty X vibes forever” Another said: "Seriously when can we get a reunion of all 5 of u! That would be so cool."

Back in 2022, Just A Little singer Michelle admitted she was terrified to perform sober with her Liberty X bandmates, after battling alcohol and addiction issues. The mum-of-two checked into The Priory rehabilitation facility in a final bid to conquer her demons in April 2021, and has been sober ever since.

Speaking about her first gig since receiving treatment, Michelle told OK! Magazine: "When we first started performing as a band in our early days, we had a couple of drinks at every gig. It gave us confidence. So, I was a bit apprehensive of how I’d feel singing and dancing without having had a couple of drinks down me."

If they can put the pieces together, they won't be the only much loved group getting back on stage after years away. Girls Aloud, who found fame on ITV's Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, will kick off their tour in Dublin on Saturday 18 May 2024. They will then travel to Belfast, Manchester, Cardiff, Newcastle, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Nottingham, Leeds, Birmingham, London and end in Liverpool.

They will tour the UK and Ireland as a "celebration of Sarah, our music and our incredible fans." Sarah Harding sadly died in September 2021, after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Taking to the official Girls Aloud Instagram account, they said: "We’re so excited to announce that we will be touring the UK & Ireland in May and June 2024.

"A celebration of Sarah, our music and our incredible fans. We can’t wait to sing and dance with you all once again. -Cheryl, Kimberley, Nadine & Nicola. Tickets will go on sale on Friday 1 December and fans can get access to an exclusive pre-sale on Wednesday 29 November by signing up at girlsaloud.com."
