Tom Parker Bowles was caught on camera making a surprising comment as he arrived for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding in 2018.

The couple were married at St George's Chapel on 19 May with a number of high-profile guests in attendance - from the Queen and prominent members of the royal family, to celebrities including George Clooney and Oprah Winfrey.

Tom - the son of now-Queen Camilla - was also there, accompanied by his now ex-wife, Sara. On arriving at the church, food critic Tom revealed more than he would probably like anyone to hear as he spoke to a fellow guest walking beside him.

According to a lip reader, the 49-year-old remarked: "I'm not hungover today so that's really good!"

Tom is the son of Queen Camilla and Andrew Parker Bowles, her first husband. He has a younger sister, Laura Lopes. On 10 September 2005, after five years of dating, he married Sara Buys, an associate editor of Harpers & Queen magazine and senior editor of British Town & Country magazine.

The couple welcomed two children together - daughter Lola in 2007 and son Frederick in 2010 - before announcing their separation in 2018.

Tom went on to find love with former journalist Alice Procope in 2019. But tragically, she passed away on 17 March 2021, seven months after being diagnosed with cancer.

Just recently, Tom's ex wife Sara spoke about their divorce in a candid interview with the Daily Mail. She said: "Divorce is horrible. The end of a relationship with someone you love is hard. It's painful to think, 'How much of this is my fault? Have I messed up my life?' It was very dark.

"Of course you feel guilty forever for hurting your kids, that's never going to go away and I would rather we had stayed together as a family. But, fortunately, I've arrived at the conclusion that these things just happen. My marriage was a happy one until it wasn't and I'll always think of it in very affectionate terms."

And while she never considered herself to be part of the royal family, Sara admitted she finds it "hard to manage" that her mother-in-law is now the Queen. Despite her royal duties, Sara revealed that Camilla is a "very hands-on" grandmother to her two children behind closed doors.

Speaking of her relationship with her in-laws after the divorce, Sara said: "She's a really good granny, very hands-on and she's never been anything but nice to me. If Tom and I are arguing, it's between us. The long-term relationship between her and her grandchildren is what's important and that's never changed."

Queen Camilla's son Tom previously made a rare comment about his marriage during an interview with The Times. "Marriage is about compromise, about two people who might be rather different, but who love each other very much. Marriage is a wonderful thing in the long term, but there are ups and downs," he said.
