Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might not be welcomed back to the Royal Family, despite reports that the King's youngest son was willing to step back up.
After going after his brother Prince William and Queen Camilla, royal correspondent Valentine Low said that a comeback has been "completely ruled out." Valentine told The Sun that the both Harry and Meghan have "said so many things about William, about Camilla, about his own father." The Duke and Duchess of Sussex exited from their roles in 2020 and Harry released his memoir, Spare, in January 2023.
The late Queen made it clear to them both that they could not have a hybrid role as in being half-in and half out, which Meghan an Harry wanted.

Valentine added: "Prince Charles as he was then was absolutely behind that. It's not as if the royal family was divided in their views."

Even though Harry visited his father, King Charles, when he it was announced that he was diagnosed with cancer, it is unclear as to what the status of their relationship is.
But Harry did say that he "would try" to help out if his father if asked. Harry has made it clear that he does not want a royal role but he allegedly told his friend that he would step into a temporary royal role while Charles is unwell following several "warm exchanges."
Vanity Fair's Katie Nicholl cited a source, saying: "The idea of Harry coming back to the UK to carry out engagements on behalf of the King is highly, highly unlikely. There is a carefully mapped out contingency plan in place if the king is unable to carry out public-facing engagements over the coming months, and none of these involve Prince Harry."
The source went on to tell Vanity Fair that both Prince William and Harry are "barely speaking" and the "idea of William wanting Harry to come back and represent the firm is both laughable and unthinkable." Sources close to William said that he would be the one to take on more duties during this time. They said that Harry and Meghan "cannot be trusted."
