Cristiano Ronaldo racks up an astonishing £177million-a-year with Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.

The Real Madrid legend joined the club in January 2023 after an acrimonious end to his Manchester United career and saw a monumental boost to his earnings. The 205-times capped Portugal international has already pocketed a massive £204,230,769, with Marca suggesting the 39-year-old earns £3,403,846 each week.

Ronaldo's earnings in the Middle East don't stop there either. The superstar who has earned five Ballon d'Or wins is said to have picked up a further £88.5m in a signing on bonus.

Unsurprisingly, that sees Ronaldo recognised as the highest salaried footballer in the world ahead of the likes of Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe. World Cup winner Messi however, earns more off the pitch than on it and is said to take a share of the money made by Apple TV following his arrival at Inter Miami.

Ronaldo found the net to help his side progress in the Asian Champions League as they faced fellow Saudi Arabian side Al-Fayha this week. The veteran forward has shown little sign of slowing down despite his advanced age.

The Al-Nassr star has provided 21 goals in 19 appearances and 27 goals in all in 2023/24 with his team sitting second in the Saudi Pro League. Ronaldo, alongside Sadio Mane, Aymeric Laporte and Alex Telles, trail league-leaders Al-Hilal by seven points but remain in contention for their first continental title.

They next face United Arab Emirates side Al-Ain, managed by former AC Milan and Chelsea forward Hernan Crespo, in the quarter-final of the competition. Ronaldo will hope to earn another continental trophy to his collection having already won five Champions Leagues with Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Ronaldo took advantage of the opportunity to join the Saudi Pro League following his split from United last season. His second stint at Old Trafford was brought to an end by mutual consent following his interview with Piers Morgan.

The striker claimed in that chat Erik ten Hag had tried to force him out of the club. After finishing as top goalscorer in his first season back, Ronaldo was offered limited minutes by the Dutch manager.

In his discussion with Morgan, Ronaldo hinted that senior executives were also trying to facilitate his departure. He said: "Honestly, I shouldn't say that... don't know... But listen I don't care, I'm always... People should listen to the truth. Yes, I feel betrayed and I feel that some people don't want me here, not only this year but last year, too."
