Sam Faires shut down mum-shamers with a perfect response as she was slammed over her children's sleeping arrangements.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star has been open about her experience with motherhood over the years, and revealed her children sleep in bed with her. She has been cruelly trolled over the decision and decided it was time to hit back at the comments. Sam took to her social media to share a defiant video, with a five word message to trolls.
The TV personality filmed herself lying next to her youngest son Edward, one, as she insisted "We’re all doing our best.” She added: "Remember, you are a providing a sense of security, comfort and reassurance, and helping regulate your baby’s breathing, heart rate and body temperature. Be Proud. We’re all doing our best.”
Sam then captioned the post: “Our children are only little for such a short time. Do what feels right for your family without feeling any pressure. You've got this! Don’t feel ashamed about co-sleeping. Trust your instincts and do what feels right your baby.” Mum-of-three Sam welcomed children Paul Jr, eight, Rosie, six, and Edward with her partner Paul Knightley.
Last year Sam revealed she doesn't share a bed with Paul and hasn't done so for several years. "Me and Paul haven't shared a bed for six years. We're still in separate rooms," the star confessed on the Parenting Hell podcast. "I'm in the spare room with Edward, who I've recently got into the cot, but he's still in the room with just me."
TOWIE's Chloe Brockett makes cheeky dig at Saffron Lempriere during filmingShe added that it was a routine her family "have just never gotten out of" as Paul sleeps with their older children in the master-bedroom and she sleeps with youngest Edward. "Before Edward came along it was just like two and two - like one adult and one child," she confessed "And we've never kind of gotten out of it."
Sam and Paul celebrated their 10 year anniversary last year and despite fans wanting to know when they will get hitched, they don't have any plans yet. “I actually feel grateful we’re not married at the moment," she admitted. “Now we’ve got Edward, I’d look back and be sad he wasn’t part of the wedding or in any of our wedding pictures or videos. I feel like it was meant to happen for me this way and I’m fine with it.
"We’ve done the hardest part of a relationship – having three children, working together, living together – and we’ve moved about nine times,“ reported OK! magazine. Yet Sam does have a very clear idea of what she'd like her big day to look like. The Mummy Diaries star said she wants to marry abroad, probably in Italy and joked she and sister Billie have already planned her hen do. They would have an "epic party" including jetting off to Paris, St Tropez and a sleepover at Billie's house.
