The little brother of murdered Harmony Montgomery, who was brutally killed by her father, prays every night that his sister will come back to life, his adoptive family has revealed.
Blair and Johnathon Miller said the last few weeks have been "unbearable" for their family as Harmony's, who died age 5, murder trial came to a dramatic climax in New Hampshire.
Jurors heard how her father, Adam Montgomery, 33, got angry with the tot in 2019 for wetting herself in a car the family was living in. He lashed out and punched her multiple times, and his estranged wife, Kayla, told the court that she then saw the killer move Harmony's lifeless body, "fold her in half, and squished" her tiny body inside a Catholic Medical Center hospital bag.

Kayla testified that the child's body was moved around several locations to keep it from being found, including the trunk of a car, a cooler in an apartment building, a ceiling vent of a homeless shelter, and a freezer.

Montgomery was found guilty of the child's murder on Thursday after nearly seven hours of jury deliberation. While he faces a long time behind bars, this has all still been traumatic beyond belief for her little brother.
"This is not a day we celebrate," adoptive parents Blair and Jonathan Miller said in a statement after the verdict was read. "It is a day that only adds to the incredible pain and heartache that surrounds a little girl who was never given a chance."
They lamented the experiences of Harmony and brother Jamison.
"For Jamison and Harmony, they experienced a lot of trauma very early on in their lives, and they were together when they experienced a lot of this trauma, being in foster homes together," Johnathan Miller told Court TV.
Harmony was shoved into a bag"For Jamison, [Harmony] was the only constant thing in his life, up until he became a part of our family, he became a Miller. And for that to have been gone when he came to us, he yearned for that relationship, and he still yearns for that."
According to his adoptive family, Jamison has been asking God to "bring Harmony back to life."
The couple who have three boys including Jamison, said they adopted Jamison around the time that Harmony vanished, unaware of the severity of the situation. Horrifying details of Harmony's abuse were shared in the courtroom.
"It's unbelievable to see that this was a reality for a little girl. It's just unbelievable," Miller said.
He and his partner said in a statement that after they adopted Jamison, the little boy would be looking for his sister all the time.
"Jamison would go to the front door, hoping Harmony would find us," they said. "He would search for her in a park. As we now dig deep within our hearts to find the ability to offer forgiveness, we look to our son to give him the strength to fight off the demons that this tragedy has brought for a lifetime."
