Queen Camilla will attend a thanksgiving service for the life of Greece's last monarch, who passed away in January - but without her husband the King.

Buckingham Palace confirmed that Her Majesty The Queen will be accompanied by other members of the British Royal Family to attend the service at St. George's Chapel, Windsor.

Also in attendance is Queen of the Hellenes Anne-Marie and her son the Crown Prince Pavlos, as well as other Greek royals.

King Constantine, who was the last King of Greece, passed away at the age of 82 in January last year. He and his family are closely linked to the British royals, with him being a nephew of the late Prince Philip and said to have been close with his second cousin King Charles.

He was also one of William's six godparents, who include Lady Susan Hussey and Princess Alexandra. The late King attended his confirmation in March 1997.

A Buckingham Palace statement reads: "The Queen, accompanied by members of the royal family, will attend a thanksgiving service for the life of King Constantine of the Hellenes at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, on 27th February. The service in the Nave of St George's Chapel, Windsor, will be led by the Dean of Windsor,The Right Reverend Dr Christopher Cocksworth, and will be attended by Foreign Royal Families and other guests".

One royal missing from the guestlist will be the King, who was recently diagnosed with an unknown form of cancer.

Following the diagnosis, Prince Harry again took to the media to give his thoughts on his father's illness in a bombshell interview which appears to have infuriated the Palace.

He sat down for an interview with Good Morning America whilst spending three days in Canada for celebrations ahead of the 2025 Invictus Games. During the appearance, the Duke of Sussex opened up about his family life in Montecito, his father's cancer diagnosis, and the Invictus Games. In one interview answer he hinted at a possible reconciliation with his family in the future, as he explained, "I think any illness, any sickness brings families together."

In another answer, he spoke about his recent 24-hour return trip from California to the UK to see his father after the news of the monarch's cancer emerged, as he told GMA: "I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him, I’m grateful for that."

However, Harry's tell-all answers have not had a warm reception from friends and sources close to the Palace, who have slammed the interview as "sickening".

A royal source speaking to The Daily Beast said: "It seems Harry has taken it on himself to use the diagnosis to publicise his own agenda. If it wasn’t so sickening it would be funny. What really would have helped the family come together would have been if Harry had said he wouldn’t be taking questions about his father."
