Meghan Markle chose to not participate in a niche winter sport during her three-day Invictus Games tour.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped out on Thursday for the second day of the event in Vancouver, Canada. Prince Harry was seen trying out skeleton-bobsledding on the skeleton track. Skeleton is a winter sliding sport in which a person rides a small sled, known as a skeleton bobsled, down a frozen track while lying face down and head-first.

Harry was flying down hillside, being cheered on from the crowd and his wife who chose not to participate. When a photographer asked Meghan if she would give it a go, she had two words for them, "No way!" Meghan was seen wearing a black puffer coat, matched with black pants and a navy blue beanie hat.

On Wednesday, the two visited culture centres, while also trying out the ski slopes on adaptive skis. Harry and Meghan were seen hand-in-hand and all smiles during their public outings. She even grabbed a pal's phone to snap snap Harry "for the kids" while he tried to show off.

Harry flew down the ski slopes in a moment captured on Instagram by Stephanie Petit. She wrote: "Here comes Prince Harry! The Duke of Sussex took a run in an adaptive ski on the first day of the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler’s 2025 One Year to Go celebrations." Harry and Meghan were also given a history lesson by Youth Ambassadors, Chief Nelson and Wilson Williams at Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre.

During the event, Meghan and Harry have been referred to as "ma'am" and "sir," after stepping down as senior royals four years ago. The new CEO of the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 told the Vernon Morning Star that he wanted to brushup on protocol and said: "I did make sure to ask how I should be addressing them when they get here, and I was told the simple sir and ma'am is fine."

When it comes to addressing members of the Royal Family, protocol says that in the first instance, they should be called "Your Royal Highness" and after that it is either "Sir" for males or "Ma'am" for females. The only slight exception would be for King Charles and Queen Camilla who should first be called "Your Majesty."
