You can't guarantee what items you'll find in a Too Good To Go bag, but one shopper was not expecting the items she purchased at a discounted price to be 'moudly'.

The beauty and excitement over Too Good To Go is that you don't know what you'll get. The app lets you collect 'Magic Bags' of food at a discounted price, so that it doesn't go to waste. This will usually depend on what is left over at the end of a day, or what surplus food they have - but one woman was left outraged by the state of her Morrisons order.

Savvy shopper Jade West went on the app early in the morning of February 6 and paid £3.09 for two bags from her local Morrisons in the Sheldon area of Birmingham. But after Jade collected the food, which was supposed to be worth a total of £12, later that evening, she was left disgusted by the contents.

As you might expect, there was a variety of fruit and vegetables inside - but the state of them was everything but. Inside there were three bunches of bananas that had turned black and appeared to have gone off. Jade also claimed there was a large head of cabbage, which had become discoloured.

Other items included cherries, bean sprouts and carrots, which she said also arrived in a bad state. The Birmingham local was also particularly shocked at the bag of potatoes, which she claimed had been ripped open.

Jade, who now vows never to order from Morrisons on the app ever again, said: "I know it's only £3.09 but there's still the time and effort to go as well as the cost of fuel. I know it's a gamble but when the food is mouldy, ripped open and inedible it's such a shame."

She also claimed it "wasn't a last minute purchase so they weren't in an unexpected rush to get something put in a bag for me. I'd ordered this quite early in the day for a 5.30pm collection".

The furious shopper said she had tried Too Good To Go "a couple of times" but claimed it hadn't really "been worth her time". She added: "This was my first and last Morrisons one as they usually sell out."

Many Too Good To Go shoppers were furious on Jade's behalf, with one person saying: "I don't think it's fair to give you rotten stuff." Another commented: "Not acceptable they are using TGTG as a bin."

A third person wrote: "I wouldn't have accepted that," while another claimed: "Food hazard, report this."

Morrisons declined to comment when approached by The Mirror, and Too Good To Go has also been contacted.
