Phone deals have been dropping left, right and centre this 2024, as retailers launch huge savings for those bundled into to long-term contract deals. And now it seems ditching a popular Samsung S24 or Apple iPhone 15 will see you save a huge £456.

It's all thanks to provider EE that's dropped an unmissable deal of Google's flagship phone, the Pixel 8 Pro. Shoppers who opt for the plan will pay £805 overall for the smartphone, that's £44 cheaper than the usual upfront price and that's not all.

The unmatched part comes in with a data saving you can only find at EE, as the provider drops the price of the adjacent Essentials Unlimited data plan. And it's this plan that will save you a huge £456 - you can get the saving here.

That's because the price has been dropped to £29 a month, meaning you'll pay a fraction of the usual price and have no cap on your data use. When combined with the monthly £21.54 price of the handset (on a 36-month contract), users will pay £29 a month on a fixed 24-month plan so you can change your data amount after two years if you wish.

The Google Pixel 8 Pro was only launched in October last year, so its multi-hundred-pound saving makes it even better considering the set is only three months old. If you're not keen on taking out a contract then Amazon's £150 cheaper price may be for you.

One of the standout features of Google's Pixel 8 range, which includes the flagship Pixel 8 Pro device and the standard Pixel 8 model, was the seven years of confirmed updates. This means shoppers will be able to upgrade their flashy new handset with the latest software each year - a feature that'll stop you from wanting to upgrade.

It does come with a catch eager shoppers should make note of. From March 2024 EE is raising its prices for existing customers in line with inflation so the total amount will rise by £3 (on average) each month. Sky, O2 and Virgin Media are rival retailers that have too announced price hikes, as some users face increases of 8.8%.
