Just in time for Valentine's Day, Heinz has mixed up two elite flavours to make a product that foodies will love.
If grating lashings and lashings of cheese on your beans is your vibe, put the cheese down, as Heinz has mixed it all together in one convenient can for your eating pleasure. Heinz has partnered with Cathedral City to make cheesy beans in a can, and on February 14, 500 bean fans will be able to get their hands on the taste sensation. But if you don't manage to get on the website in time, don't fret, as they'll appear in stores from February 21.
The delicious duo has been launched as research from Heinz revealed almost half of Brits (47%) agree that beans and cheese are one of Britain's best food combinations - beanie besties if you will. On average, Brits are thought to eat baked beans 57 times a year, which works out more than once a week, with a further 25% admitting to eating them twice a week or more. And 64% of people agree cheese makes the beans taste even more delicious - so the new flavour combo is a win-win.
On Valentine's Day, the beans will be available in a limited 500 can drop on Heinztohome.co.uk, with an RRP of £1.80 for those that just can't wait to try them. But they'll be hitting stores nationwide on February 21, so you can see whether they hit the spot for yourself. And it seems as though many people will be happy about the combo, as many people take to X, formerly Twitter, to proclaim their love for "cheesy beans."
Alessandra de Dreuille, Director of Meals and Insights from Heinz, said: "We know Brits absolutely love pairing beanz with cheese and so we're thrilled to finally announce our partnership with Cathedral City - bringing beanz lovers up and down the country the ultimate perfect match. And what better time to launch this cheesy duo than in the run-up to Valentine's Day! Whether you're celebrating with your friends, partner, family or even your pets, you can be sure to find love with Heinz Cheesy Beanz."
