Super Bowl LVIII was interrupted when two fans ran onto the field during a crucial play.

The Kansas City Chiefs were in the middle of a big third down play when the shirtless duo stormed the field, only to be swiftly tackled by security.

Despite the disruption, the referees ruled there was no interference on the play, which resulted in an incomplete pass and brought up fourth down. The Chiefs then kicked a 57-yard field goal, successfully reducing their deficit against the San Francisco 49ers.

The unexpected interruption didn't seem to faze the Chiefs. In fact, they seemed to gain momentum afterwards, quickly forcing a 49ers punt and gaining possession in the opposition's red zone.

After another unsuccessful offensive drive, the Chiefs punted the ball, which hit 49ers returner Ray-Ray McCloud and was recovered by the kicking team. On the next play, Mahomes threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Marquez Valdes-Scantling, putting the Chiefs in the lead for the first time with just over two minutes left in the third quarter.

The Super Bowl was full of surprises, with only one touchdown in the first half. The 49ers' Jauan Jennings threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Christian McCaffrey on a trick play. There was also an unusual incident involving Dre Greenlaw, who suffered a reported torn Achilles when trying to run onto the field.

This wasn't the first time the 49ers faced disruption during the big game. 11 years ago, at Super Bowl XLVII, a power outage caused a 34-minute delay. This time, the disruption lasted only a few minutes and those responsible were quickly detained.
