Harry's 'hand thrust' shows true feels after visit - body language expert

Prince Harry's body language during his recent UK visit may hint at positive news about King Charles, says a body language expert.

A relaxed and smiling Harry was seen at Heathrow ready to fly back to Los Angeles after a quick trip to see his father following his cancer diagnosis. The Duke of Sussex had a brief meeting with the King, marking their first encounter since the Coronation nine months ago. Their relationship has been tense since Harry decided to step down as a working royal in 2020 and voiced several complaints against the Royal Family.

However, body language expert Judi James believes Harry's relaxed demeanour suggests a "sense of reassurance". She told the Mirror: "Harry's relieved-looking body language here will hopefully provide some positive clues about his father's current condition. His shoulders and body look relaxed and the way he thrusts his hands into his pockets as he walks suggests more of a casual 'mooch' than any sign of tension or anxiety."

"His eye expression looks animated, with an eye smile, and he appears to be enjoying a joke or sharing laughter with the people accompanying him. The suggestion here is that he is hopefully leaving the UK with some sense of reassurance, having seen his father for their brief meeting."

Harry came back to the UK in a hurry to see his dad, King Charles, after the Monarch called him personally to tell him he's been diagnosed with cancer. He flew all the way from California, giving many royal watchers hope that tensions are improving between the pair. But Harry didn't make any plans to meet his brother Prince William this time.

People close to Harry said he would've liked to see William "if the opportunity were to arise". A source shared: "The Duke's primary reason to travel to the UK is to visit his father. If the opportunity were to arise to see the Prince of Wales then the Duke would have gladly accepted it."

A source close to Prince William stated: "The prince's main focus is for his wife, who is recovering from surgery, his three children and now his father. There are no plans for Harry's visit to act as some kind of vehicle for reconciliation." The same source suggested that William is yet to forgive his brother, Harry, for a number of comments made about senior members of the Royal Family, including calling the King an 'old man' and claiming he was physically attacked by him during an altercation at Harry's Kensington Palace home.

King Charles made sure to call his sons and siblings, including the Princess Royal, the Duke of York and the Duke of Edinburgh, about his cancer news last week, say palace folks. Harry agreed to wait to come over until Buckingham Palace had publicly announced the news on Monday night.
