Cillian Murphy’s talented son Aran has been cast in a new film alongside Wednesday star Jenna Ortega.
The Irish star's lookalike lad has landed a part in Klara And The Sun, directed by Rita Ora's husband Taika Waititi, who brought Hunt For The Wilderpeople and What We Do In The Shadows to life. His new movie is an adaptation of Nobel-winning novelist Kazuo Ishiguro’s bestseller.
US showbiz website Deadline reports that Aran has joined the cast and the teen has chosen to follow in his famous dad's footsteps and has been busy carving out a career as an actor. He will be working alongside some big names with Wednesday star Jenna and Enchanted's Amy Adams fronting things.
Peaky Blinders favourite Cillian and his wife Yvonne McGuinness are proud parents to the 16-year-old and his older brother, Malachy, 17. This is not Aran's first big job after he acted in the Andrew Legge-directed movie Lola after being given his big break as a young child.

Proud dad Cillian told The New York Times "He was so chilled about it, you know? He would come off stage and ask what the score was in the Liverpool game. And, again, you’re slightly jealous of that! There’s the danger that over analysing everything can erode the simplicity."

The family made the decision to leave London almost ten years ago and spoking to The Irish Sun, he said: "We were in London for 14 years, both our kids were born there and we only came back to Dublin in 2015 - i t's kind of an Irish story to move away, do your thing and come home, that seems to be a common narrative for Irish people. And then we wanted the kids to be Irish."
The star went on: "They were sort of at that age where they were pre-teens, they had very posh English accents, and I wasn’t appreciating that too much so we decided to come back. And you know, parents are at a certain age, it was just a nice time to come home."
Nine years ago, Cillian and his wife spent £1.5 million on a stunning home in a much desired location in the Monkstown area of south Dublin. The incredible period home has six double bedrooms as well as a drawing room, and came with a number of original fireplaces.
Speaking to the Irish Mirror, he offered some insight into how tough it is for youngsters these days, saying: “I’m a father of two teenagers, I once was young. I recognise how tricky it is for a young person today in society. It is a very complex time growing up, things are changing a lot at a very accelerated rate.
“We’re all aware of the effect of the internet online and life online. “It feels to me like lots of kids, like their life exists inside of this device. The idea that empathy would form part of a curriculum is an excellent idea. Young people are caring and compassionate and willing to be."
