The Warzone Season 2 update will be going live later this week, here's exactly what time when you can drop into Fortune's Keep once again.

The latest Warzone seasonal update is almost upon us, with the big-ticket item of Warzone Season 2 being the re-introduction of Fortune's Keep, the much-enjoyed Resurgence Map that's been missing from the battle royale title since November 2022. Warzone Season 2 will also feature Ranked Resurgence, a mode that gives die-hard Call of Duty players the chance to battle it out against the best and attempt to claim a spot on the top 250-player leaderboard.

There will also be four new weapons, including the BP50 (Assault Rifle), RAM-9 (Submachine Gun), SOA Subverter (Battle Rifle) and Soulrender (Melee), as well as a bunch of new aftermarket parts, so those who tinker with their weapons will have even more choice.

Here's the confirmed Warzone Season 2 release time and when you can drop into Fortune's Keep.

Warzone Season 2 release time

Activision has confirmed via a blog post that the Warzone Season 2 release time is 5pm GMT / 12pm EST / 9am PST on Wednesday, February 7. As is the case with previous Warzone updates, such as Warzone Season 1 Reloaded, seasonal updates for Warzone are typically released on a Wednesday, and they go live at the same time on all platforms including Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.

But players wanting to preload the Warzone Season 2 update will have different experiences depending on the platform you play on. Players on PlayStation and PC (via Battle.net) will be able to preload Warzone Season 2 before the update goes live, but if you're on Xbox or PC (via Steam) then bad luck, because you'll have to wait until the update goes live to download it.

But the good news is that, once your download is finished, you'll be able to jump back into Fortune's Keep once again, following the Resurgence map's removal from the battle royale title after the launch of the second iteration of the game, Warzone 2, back in November 2022. But, it won't look exactly as you remember it, with Activision showcasing the re-jigged Fortune's Keep map in a dedicated blog post, which shows significant earthquake damage has ravaged the map, leading to some reworked and entirely new POIs for you to explore.
