Princess Charlotte was seen telling off Prince George at a public event for the Royal Family, and there was a crucial reason for the scolding.

The young princess, now eight, was spotted telling off her older brother at an event where Prince William took to the stage at a Coronation concert last year. The event, one of many detailing the ascension to the throne for King Charles III, was attended by Princess Charlotte and Princess George, now 10.

Princess Charlotte was spotted waving her Union Jack flag at her brother, chastising him at the concert event which saw the Prince of Wales head onto the stage. It appeared the young royal was keen to remind her sibling as to why they were attending the event.

Members of the public watched on as Princess Kate applauded her husband who made his way onto the stage as Princess Charlotte wafted her flag at Prince George, who had seemingly not been paying too much attention to the event. She then pointed at her father on stage, waving her flag in his direction as Prince George looked off slightly to the left.

The Prince of Wales had been addressing 20,000 people in attendance on the East Lawn of Windsor Castle, paying tribute to his father and mocking Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi. He said: "Good evening Your Majesties. Good evening Windsor! A huge thank you to everyone for making this such a special evening. Don't worry - unlike Lionel, I won't go on all night long."

Princess Charlotte and Prince George had also enjoyed an appearance from Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy at the concert, while other scenes at the concert saw the young royal ask her mother for help with a glow-in-the-dark wristband. The cheeky moment between the pair comes as Prince Harry marked a four-word tribute to his niece and nephew.

The Duke of Wales was asked back in 2017 how he feels about his nephew and niece and says his drop down the ranking for claim to the throne was worth it as they were the "most amazing things ever". He said: "The reason I am now fifth is because of my nephew and niece and I could never wish them away. They are the most amazing things ever."
