A hairy model has hit back at trolls who brand her body hair "gross" after deciding to ditch her razor and let her body do its thing.

Cherry, 26, from Seattle in the US, decided to ditch shaving eight months ago and now embraces her hairy armpits, intimate areas and legs. Now, the woman known as Hairy Cherry, proudly posts unapologetic snaps of her body hair online.

She has been told she "needs a lawn mower and a hedge trimmer" and "hairy arms aren't attractive". Others have accused Cherry of photoshopping hair onto her legs in snaps.

The model claims to make a whopping $20,000 (£15,736) a month thanks to people buying her sexy, hair-filled snaps online. She loves promoting positive attitudes towards body hair on her TikTok page @ittybittycherrybb, and says one fan told her if she grooms herself, they will send her £4,000, reports the Daily Star.

The decision to quit shaving has proven controversial and Cherry is often met with insults from online trolls. She said: "Stop being concerned about women who don't shave. Start having more concern for the men who expect and demand them to because it's what they find attractive."

"They say they want natural beauty but still want us to shave our body hair and have a pretty perfect face and snatched body," she added. Recently, in a short video where Cherry flashed her armpits, she said: "When a guy wants to say my bush is gross but he can't even grow a beard." "

Oh you're being rude? Awesome, cool...my f***ing turn," the model lip synced over an audio.

Previously speaking to the Daily Star, she commented: "Someone said to me recently that I must get such a dopamine rush from reading my comments on social media. I literally laughed out loud because the majority of them are generally harsh and insulting.

"Mostly guys (and some girls too) telling me to shave, calling me gross and unhygienic, that I look like I smell. Men seem to have this idea that when women have hair it's unhygienic, but when they have it it's just normal and fine.

While the model often faces criticism, she has also had a lot of support, particularly from other women. "I'm grateful that they feel represented and happy to be able to spark the conversation," she said.

Cheryl said she never expected that she would end up making a career out of her natural body. You can find Cherry on TikTok here and Instagram here.
