My Mum, Your Dad star Taiya rushed her baby daughter to hospital on Tuesday night.
Taiya took to social media to reveal to her followers that she had taken her baby girl Alora to hospital after noticing concerning symptoms. She posted a picture of her fourth-month-old baby in her car seat to her Instagram Stories.
The baby girl was wrapped up in a blanket with a white heart emoji covering her face. Over the top of the picture, the ITV reality star wrote: "Took Alora to the hospital the other day because there's a viral infection going around."
"She's got a cough and cold symptoms but mummas it's better to be safe than sorry and if you think it's more go get them checked out," she added. Taiya, who signed her mum Monique up to the ITV reality show to find love, gave birth to her first child in September, last year.
On Instagram, Taiya told fans her baby daughter was born weighing 6.1lbs alongside a sweet message for her first child. She said: “To my Alora, I love you in a way I didn’t think existed until I held you in my arms. You are more than I could have ever imagined.
Corrie's Sue Cleaver says I'm A Celebrity stint helped her to push boundaries“You make me feel so whole & fill my heart with so much love & happiness…I promise to be everything you need & more.” Taiya shared a video of her daughter's hands and feet before opening up on her first week of motherhood.
ITV viewers were introduced to Taiya and her mum Monique on My Mum, Your Dad, hosted by Davina McCall. The show followed unlucky-in-love middle-aged parents who had been nominated to take part by their children.
But, what the parents didn't realise was that their children were watching over their every move as they attempted to find love again.
Expalinign why she signed her mum up for the show, Taiya said at the time: "My mum put everything aside to raise me and my sister. It’s her time. I tell her not to be so fussy, it’s not realistic."
Single mum and therapist Monique won over viewers of the ITV dating show when she broke down after opening up about her turbulent love life. During the show, Monique was involved in a love triangle with Martin H and Martin M – neither romances were meant to be, and she parted ways with both potential matches.
After the series came to an end, Monique was forced to deny she's struck up a romance with fellow co-star Clayton after posting a photo of the pair looking cosy. “Aww, we are not together but he is the absolute best hooman!” she sweetly replied.
