Love Island: All Stars has dropped two new bombshells into the villa.
Joanna Chimonides, 27 was a contestant during season five of Love Island back in 2019 - where she had a disastrous romance with Michael Griffiths, 32, which ended after he ditched her for Francesca Allen, 28, causing Joanna to be dumped from the villa. Now she is in the All Stars villa after being unmasked as the latest star to enter the show for a new chance at love.
But she's not the only star to head back to the show - as season nine star Casey O'Gorman is also going back in to find fresh romance. The 27-year-old formed a close friendship with Tom Clare during his time on the show previously - and he is already in the Love Island: All Stars villa.
The two new additions were teased at the end of Tuesday night's show. The official Love Island X account confirmed the new identities despite them being obscured by shadows during the episode. Announcing Joanna's arrival, a statement read: "She had heads turning in Casa Amor during series 5, and now Joanna is back to find her forever man.
While Casey's arrival was confirmed with a statement reading: "Casey found a bestie for life in series 9, but is hoping it’ll be second time lucky in finding his perfect girl." Fan reaction to the new arrivals has not been kind. Many took to X to complain about the duo arriving in the villa of the spin-off show.
Corrie's Sue Cleaver says I'm A Celebrity stint helped her to push boundariesOne fan raged: "Hi @LoveIsland do you understand the title of your own show? ALL STARS? And you’re sending the likes of Casey in? #LoveIsland." And another wrote: "We asked for Ovie and we received Casey lol are the producers taking the piss #LoveIsland."
A further fan wrote: "They can’t get any of the iconic #loveisland stars to come back in then. If Casey’s going in. I had high hopes for #LoveIslandAllStars but it’s been unable to get them. It should have offered more money. #AllStars." And another grumbled: "I don’t even remember Casey besides his friendship with Tom and that blonde babe #loveisland."
However, some viewers felt the new additions could bring drama to the villa. One fan wrote: "Joanna will definitely stir things up when she gets into the villa!" And another agreed, writing: "Joanna was good on her season tbf."
Joanna, who admits to being hesitant when it comes to love can rule out one of her exes arriving. The star who previously dated Chelsea and England defender, Ben Chilwell admits she's been single for "many years". She said: "I have been single for so many years now. If you go out to a bar, I am guilty of sitting with my friends and not going over to anyone. Love Island pushes you out of your comfort zone, it's a great opportunity to meet someone."
The star was seen at Gatwick Airport and was reportedly preparing for drama ahead of jetting out to South Africa. Speaking to The Sun, a source previously said: "Joanna is in talks to join as a bombshell - she's so stunning that the lads won't be able to stop their heads turning for her! She'll cause chaos if she goes in - she's best mates with Kady McDermott so will be ready for any drama that happens in the villa."
