Lamar Jackson, the quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, was visibly frustrated during their AFC Championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Jackson threw his helmet in anger after an ugly interception that contributed to their 17-10 loss.

The Chiefs' defense had a strong game, keeping Jackson and the Ravens' offense at bay. Patrick Mahomes quarterback was on top form for the away team, completing 30 of 39 passes for 241 yards and a touchdown and leading his team to their fourth Super Bowl in five seasons.

On the other hand, Jackson completed 20 of 37 passes for 272 yards and a score. He also led the Ravens in rushing with an additional 54 yards. However, a costly interception in the fourth quarter saw him react with fury, throwing his helmet on the sidelines.

This mistake by Jackson, who is tipped to be the MVP, came when he attempted a pass to Isaiah Likely in the end zone, despite the tight end being heavily covered by three defenders. This loss leaves Jackson with a 2-4 career record in the playoffs and has seen questions over his post-season performances resurface.

Jackson's performance on Sunday was a far cry from his epic showing against the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round last week. He became the first player in NFL history to register two passing touchdowns, two rushing touchdowns, 100 rushing yards, and a passer rating of at least 100 in a single game.

After the win over the Texans, Jackson admitted he was aware of reports surrounding his struggles to deliver in the playoffs. "I'm just trying to win," he said, hoping to play at his best each time he takes to the field.

After the loss to the Chiefs, a dejected Jackson spoke to media. "We made it all the way to this point. Our goal is short, we made it here but we just gotta finish next time, but I'm very proud of my team." the 27-year-old said.

He added: "I'm not frustrated at all, I'm angry about losing."

Jackson led the Ravens to their first AFC Championship Game appearance since the 2012 season, the year Baltimore last won a Super Bowl with Joe Flacco at the helm. But he couldn't imitate his predecessor, falling at the final hurdle before a trip to Las Vegas - and he will look to improve his postseason record next year.

The Chiefs are set to play against the victor of the Detroit Lions-San Francisco 49ers match in Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium.
