A football team announced it is donating all ticket proceeds from this weekend's match to help a British mum who was left in a coma after a fall in the Canary Islands.
Julie McLaren was left in an induced coma after a horrific fall at her hotel in Tenerife. The 57-year-old, the mother of Siobhan Hunter who plays for Hibernian FC in the Scottish Women's Premier League (SWPL), suffered two skull fractures as well as two bleeds on her brain.
She is understood to be in critical condition at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh after being flown home via an air ambulance this week. Her daughter's club now announced its earnings from the Sunday league fixture against Motherwell FC will be donated to Siobhan's family.

Siobhan’s mother, Julie McLaren, suffered a brain aneurysm whilst on holiday in Tenerife earlier this month. This led to Julie being placed into an induced coma and left in a critical condition whilst abroad."
They added: "Thanks to the generous support of friends, family, and the wider community the family raised the funds necessary for an air ambulance to transport Julie from Spain to the intensive care unit at Edinburgh's Royal Infirmary. Hibernian will donate the gate money from Sunday’s league fixture against Motherwell to the ongoing treatment of Julie McLaren."

Julie fell down a flight of stairs at her hotel earlier this month. It emerged that the mum-of-two collapsed after suffering an aneurysm on the brain, reported the Daily Record. Her terrified daughters initially hoped to raise funds to stay by her bedside while she underwent treatment on the island - but after experiencing a language barrier and strict visiting times at the hospital, the sisters turned their mission to bring their mum home.
After raising more than £50,000 last week they were able to fly Julie home and sister Georgi wrote on Facebook: "I just want to update everyone that my mum finally arrived in Edinburgh last night after a very long day of travelling. She is now in the intensive care unit in the Royal Infirmary.
"It is still a long, long road to go for us all but it’s the start of the next part where we can all be here as a family without the added stress of where we’re going to live week to week. We really just want to thank every single person again for their help to make this happen because without you all, it wouldn’t even be close to being possible."
