Joe Biden left people scratching their heads after he gave a puzzling speech at Earth Rider Brewery in Superior, Wisconsin.

The US President seemed to stumble over his words while talking about the brewery and its beer. During his speech, he appeared to mumble: "The beer brewed here, it is used to make the brew beered here." He then added, "Ooh, Earth Rider, thanks for the Great Lakes. I wonder why..." but trailed off as laughter from the audience drowned out his words.

Social media users were quick to mock Biden's confusing speech. Colin Rugg wrote: "JUST IN: President Biden sounds like he is speaking a different language while giving a speech at the Earth Rider Brewery in Superior, Wisconsin. Don't worry... The media has assured us that he is sharper than ever!"

Another user commented: "Biden is having a VERY tough time reading from his giant teleprompter today." Donald Trump's campaign Twitter account "Team Trump" also chimed in, stating, "COGNITIVELY IMPAIRED JOE BIDEN : 'By the way, it used to make beer brew here... it is used to make the b-brew beard here... [inaudible].'"

Tory commenter Paul Paul Szypula reacted seriously, writing: "Every time I see these clips I'm reminded of how I was raised to respect my elders and treat them with dignity. What Democrats are doing by propping Biden up like this when he's clearly debilitated is not respectful or dignified. It's shameful and an insult to all elderly."

Biden has welcomed Trump as his direct challenge after the Republican's definitive win in New Hampshire primary, following a victory in Iowa caucuses. Presidential expert Julian Zelizer from Princeton University mentioned that Biden camp thinks it can portray Trump as a real risk through his previous record in the Oval Office.

"He's not an incumbent, but he was president," Zelizer stated. "You have a traditional incumbent saying Opponent X is dangerous for the country, it's all theoretical. Here, you're talking about someone who's been in the White House."

The campaign aims to address voters' worries and political assaults on Biden's age, by focusing on his achievements rather than his birth year. Before the primaries, there were worries that the economy could hinder Biden in the election. However, as inflation has eased and job growth continues, some voters are praising Biden for his management of the U.S. economy.
