Adrian Meronk is set to become the next PGA Tour star to lose his playing rights on the American-based circuit, with a move to LIV Golf imminent.

Per The Times, Meronk has completed a move to the LIV setup ahead of the breakaway league's season opener in Mexico next week. The move will come with a PGA Tour ban, just weeks after the Pole had secured his Tour card for the season after an impressive 2023 on the DP World Tour.

Despite losing his playing rights on the American-based circuit, it is unlikely to stop Meronk from competing in golf's majors later this year, a problem that a number of other rebel players have faced.

The European star is currently exempt to compete in the Masters and Open Championship, while his Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) should mean he gets a U.S Open invite.

Alongside the flagship events, Meronk will also compete in all 14 of LIV's tournaments in 2024. The Polish star is set to compete an all-European lineup with Cleeks GC, joining captain Martin Kaymer, Richard Bland and the recently promoted Kalle Samooja.

In total Meronk will place just twice on European soil during the season, with LIV hosting events in the United Kingdom and Spain in July. Elsewhere, he will return to Australia, a country he knows well having won the Australian Open title back in 2022.

Trips to Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Mexico will also be included, with five events also taking place on American soil. Despite his new-found LIV Golf loyalties, Meronk will still have the chance to tee it up on the DP World Tour if he pleases.

Unlike the PGA Tour, the Wentworth-based circuit have not banned LIV players, but do have the right to hand out shorter suspensions and fines. A number of players from the breakaway league have opted to begin their season on the DP World Tour this month.

Meronk's soon-to-be Cleeks teammate Samooja, competed in both the Dubai Invitational and Heo Dubai Desert Classic in January, and he was joined by fellow LIV star and Torque GC captain Joaquin Niemann at Emirates Golf Club for the latter last week.
