Kanye West's titanium teeth may bring serious side effects including eczema, pain, swelling and bone loss, dentists have warned.

The Heartless hitmaker has shelled out $850,000 (£668,000) for the danger-ridden dentures and medical experts say he could now face years of oral complications. He's already been warned about the razor-sharp mouth gear causing grim bacterial infections.

But now another dental professional has weighed in on the Bound 2 rapper's nightmare gnashers, saying he'll likely require work on his jaw after the pricy cosmetics work. Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Dr. Arun Narang says Ye may suffer "long-term problems".

"The three biggest problems are allergic reactions, corrosion of the screws, and metal toxicity," the Smile By Design Dental doctor revealed. "An additional problem is the area around the implant and into the jawbone may not heal correctly if the patient has specific underlying health issues. The NIH has reported that some patients have hypersensitive reactions to titanium implants. Some of the side effects of this are eczema, pain, swelling, erythema, and bone loss, among others."

He added: "A bigger concern is the effects of having metal in the body, especially once it starts to corrode. Titanium is known to be corrosion-resistant, which is one of the reasons it can be used for dental implants." Dr Narang explained: "However, titanium is a metal and will eventually begin to corrode even if that takes years.

"Metals can cause toxicity and titanium is no different even though titanium toxicity is rare. This condition can cause bone loss or inflammation. The jawbone would start to deteriorate, the teeth would require removal, and other medical procedures like bone grafts would need to be done to save the jaw. Symptoms of this condition are common with other illnesses so they may not be associated with the implants right away.

"They include headaches, blurred vision, fatigue, respiratory issues and an odd colour of the nails and skin. Titanium teeth can be removed by unscrewing them from the bone but require a special removal system to do it."

The Flashing Lights hitmaker unveiled his teeth last week, they are completely non-removable. Kanye's new specially-made dentures are known as "fixed prosthodontics" and are part of a never-before-seen type of experimental dentistry co-created by the rapper.

A source revealed to Page Six: "They are, as the name suggests, fixed and permanent," and added: "This goes way beyond veneers or grills. And his particular implant is quite unlike anything that has been done before."

The source explained that the dental work was partially Kanye's idea as he worked alongside the famous celebrity dentist Dr. Thomas Connelly to help "manufacture" and "fit" the dentures. Dr. Thomas is well-known for working on a number of celebrities in the past including artists Post Malone, Lil Yachty and Odell Beckham.

The shiny new dentures are reported to be made of both palladium and platinum materials and are largely inspired by a James Bond character. Last week, Kanye revealed to his fans that the unique dentures were a reference to the character Jaws who appeared in the action movies The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker.
