Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs superstar, has dismissed rumours that his 'love-heart' celebration during the game against the Buffalo Bills was a nod to his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.

The two-time Super Bowl champion scored two touchdowns in a nail-biting 27-24 victory over the Bills, bringing the Chiefs closer to the Las Vegas showpiece. Kelce's first touchdown of the night, which brought the score to 10-3 in the second quarter, was met with wild celebrations at Highmark Stadium.

His brother, Jason Kelce, even took off his shirt in excitement, despite potentially upsetting Philadelphia Eagles fans with his surprising antics. However, it seemed that Travis had someone special on his mind during the celebrations. He appeared to make a 'love heart' gesture towards Swift, who was watching from the sidelines.

Travis Kelce has now set the record straight about his gesture during the playoff clash against the Bills. Speaking on the 'New Heights' podcast, he said to Jason: "I had to spread that love, baby. Always gotta spread that love, baby. There was a lot of hate pulling up to that stadium.

"Understandably, it was the Bills, coming into their home, always gonna be a bit rowdy," he continued as he revealed his dissatisfaction. Did it get disrespectful? 1,000%. They gave it a little extra. I'm not gonna say [what was said] 'cos that's what they want, I'm not gonna relay it.

"Some inappropriate things were said about the family, some pretty inappropriate things were said about Patrick Mahomes. It was whack. I get it, coming into a hostile environment, I just had to make sure they knew it wasn't mutual. I don't hate you guys like they hate us."

After a tough win in Buffalo, it was clear that the opposition's comments had upset those in the Chiefs locker room. One of those left disgruntled by the confidence emanating from the Bills players ahead of the game was the team's star quaterback Mahomes, who particularly took issue with their perceived mindset.

After winning in New York, he shared that the Kansas City Chiefs had a 'us against the world' attitude as the they vowed to get one over on the hosts. He said: "This is a great environment.

"We've been hearing it all week man, about playing a road game," he continued in a revealing exchange in which he hinted that the noises from the Buffalo camp had not gone unnoticed in the build-up. "We were here to prove a point, to show that we can play anywhere."

In the locker room after securing the win, Mahomes and Kelce were at the heart of the party. Mahomes rallied his team saying: "Hey, real quick. Real quick. They asked for it and they got what they asked for, we come back next week ready to go," and Kelce chimed in with: "And turn it up a notch!"
