Arsenal have little over a week before the 2024 January transfer window slams shut, leaving under-fire boss Mikel Arteta unable to bring in reinforcements.
The Gunners' hopes of finally winning the Premier League title following a 20-year wait are fading, as Manchester City and Liverpool shape up for a two-horse race. Arsenal supporters are desperate to see new signings, particularly up front, but Arteta has already suggested that they should prepare themselves for disappointment - but that doesn't mean no business at all before next Thursday.
Here's a round-up of the latest Gunners transfer news from the Emirates and beyond.
Arsenal are unable to pull out all the stops this month in order to sign in-demand Everton midfielder Amadou Onana. The 22-year-old, who was born in Senegal but represents Belgium at international level, has shone ever since joining the Toffees in a club-record deal last summer and is set to feature at Euro 2024.
Premier League rivals Manchester United and Newcastle have also been linked with the £50million-rated Onana, but Arsenal won't be able to meet Everton's asking price. Belgian outlet Het Nieuwsblad claim that the Gunners aren't in a position to launch a move due to concerns over what signing him for such a fee would mean for their financial fair play situation.

Jakub Kiwior's agent doesn't expect the Arsenal defender to leave North London before deadline day. The Poland international, 23, has endured a testing 12 months at the Emirates and mostly been used at left-back this season, with Italian behemoths AC Milan interested in bringing him back to Serie A.
But Kiwior's agent, Pawel Ziemonczyk, expects the ex-Spezia prospect to stay put and fight for his place. "Kuba is an Arsenal player," Zimonczyk told Polish channel Kanal Sportowy. "There are no signals that they want to get rid of him, and I don't think anything will happen in the winter window."

Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are looking to sign 16-year-old Arsenal forward Chido Obi, according to German outlet Sport1. Obi has shone for the Gunners' under-18 side this season and Dortmund hope to entice by offering him his first professional contract.
In England, clubs aren't able to sign under-17 players on professional terms and Obi's next birthday isn't until November. Arsenal are said to be desperate to keep the Danish forward after signing him from Kjobenhavns Boldklub in 2022.
