Dancing On Ice star Libby Clegg has split from her fiance Dan Powell, calling it her 'hardest year'.
The Paralympic gold medallist, who was a finalist on Dancing on Ice in 2020, shared the sad news in an honest Instagram post. She posted a picture of herself and her son, writing: "Many of you may not know this but 2023 has been one of the hardest years of my life. There's been a lot more downs than ups and at times I've really felt like giving up."
"This little boy has brought me so much joy and happiness and made me smile even when I didn't think it was possible. Being a single mum is toughest thing I've ever had to overcome. Looking forward to 2024, I'm excited for what my future will bring with a fresh start."

I was once a single mum and it was bloody tough, but rewarding at the same time. Sending you loads of love." A third wrote: "If anyone can smash it, you can Libby! You're an inspiration as I have Stargardt's too and a mum of boys. I think you're incredible! Sending you lots of positive vibes for a wonderful 2024 with your son." Another friend said: "You are a very strong person and a wonderful mother and such a lovely friend. 2024 is a new start and you will come out on top as you always do. Love you and Edward very much xx"

Libby, a star athlete, and her partner Dan have been together since 2017, and he proposed not long after they met. They had their first baby, a boy named Edward, in 2019. Libby announced his arrival with a cute photo on Facebook.
She posted: "Dan and I welcomed our beautiful little boy Edward Daniel Powell weighing 8lbs 9oz yesterday. Completely in love." She also said: "The past few days would've been incredibly hard if it wasn't for Dans incredible support. Words can't describe how much I appreciate him. My world is complete."
Libby has won lots of medals for the UK and Scotland in big sports events like the Paralympic Games. In 2020, she was the first blind person to compete in Dancing on Ice and did really well, coming third.
