Michelle Keegan recently discussed a possible move to America to launch a Hollywood career- and reveals she would consider re-locating if the perfect role presented itself.

On the back of the success of the Netflix drama Fool Me Once, Michelle, 36, has been tipped to be the latest British star to find global fame in America - which would mean a move across the pond with husband Mark Wright.

The former Coronation Street star, who played Maya Stern in the psychological thriller, has reportedly attracted the attention of Hollywood big wigs and has been inundated with scripts for future silver screen projects.

When asked just a couple of weeks ago if she would consider moving to America in an interview with The Guardian, Michelle was open to the idea of leaving the UK to pursue a Hollywood career - if the perfect role presented itself.

She told the Guardian: "I went to America when Mark was out there. Didn’t like it. But let’s see. If a job comes up… I guess?" She added: “I’ve never thought beyond what I’m doing right at that moment. And I think that’s how I live now as well. I don’t think in terms of goals. I live in the moment.”

The actress, who starred alongside the legendary Joanna Lumley, also revealed that she is interested in playing roles that are opposite to her personality away from the camera. She claimed: "I like the adrenaline." Brand and culture expert Nick Ede revealed that this is now Michelle's "golden moment."

Speaking to OK!, he said: "She’s really earned her acting stripes and she’s held her own as the lead performer in Fool Me Once against Joanna Lumley, who is known all over the world." He added: "It’s really given Michelle a platform to make her a major star. All eyes are on her at the moment because Netflix is watched by millions of people globally and her series is number one here and in the US. She looks every inch the Hollywood leading lady and she has star quality.”

The Netflix programme is an eight-part drama series based on the novel by author Harlan Coben and has reached no.1 in the UK and the US, following it's release on New Year's Day. Michelle has come a long way since starring in Coronation Street for six years. And Nick added: "When some actors leave soaps, they go off into the wilderness but Michelle hasn’t done that. She’s shown she’s very versatile. She can do drama or a Bridgerton-type show or comedy. It’s a magical formula."

He continued: “She’s also got a following of people who really like her as an actress but also as a person off-screen and a style icon, too. As a Hollywood producer or director, you want somebody who’s the whole package – and that’s Michelle.”

Michelle recently shared with fans that she enjoyed a ski trip with Mark and her in-laws to the French Alps, to celebrate his birthday. And Michelle looked stunning in a number of outfits posted on social media. In one picture Michelle wore a fitted cream coloured ski outfit which showed off her enviable curves as she posed against the mountainous French backdrop. Taking to social media, she said: "Happy birthday. What a fab week celebrating it by doing what you love to do the most...having no chill, racing down the slopes & thrashing everyone."
