Myles Stephenson, who won X Factor with boy band Rak-Su in 2017, was beaten in his boxing debut after quitting on his stool.

Stephenson was making his ring debut against fellow singer DTG at Misfits Boxing 012 in Leeds on Saturday night. The 32-year-old had a huge size advantage over his rival but it mattered for nothing as he was dropped in the first round with a big right hand. DTG pushed for the finish but Stephenson was able to make it to the second round.

DTG picked up where he left off by continuing to beat up Stephenson, who showed little offence after picking himself up off the canvas. Stephenson was given a standing count by the referee and he made it back to his corner after the second round but was unable to continue and quit on his stool. The win means DTG is now unbeaten in two fights after stopping S-X on the Misfits Boxing Prime card last October.

Stephenson told Mirror Fighting after his loss: "I've lost fair and square. The knockdown really didn't do much to me it was just the adrenaline rush that got me at the end of the second round. I couldn't stand, breathe or speak. It was the weirdest experience I've ever felt but DTG is a warrior.

"I hit him with some good shots, an uppercut right and left hook. I just couldn't get him out of there. It was a very weird experience, something I have never felt in my life before. I've looked back on some of the highlights already, all my fundamentals went out the window. I was rushing and looking for the big shot, I didn't do that all of training camp."

In the main event of the Misfits Boxing 12 card, Ed Matthews was knocked out of the ring by mystery opponent Luis Pineda. Elle Brooke beat AJ Bunker to win the women's middleweight title in chief support whilst X Factor winner Ashley Tebi fought to a split draw with OJ Rose.

Tristan Hamm and Fox Townley both picked up first round knockout wins whilst Irish TikTok star Ben Williams won a one-sided decision against Fes Batista. Chase DeMoor picked up his first boxing win by beating Malcolm Minikon and Tebi’s childhood friend and fellow Rak-Su member Myles Stephenson lost to DTG. Most Wanted was stopped by Joey Knight in the first fight of the night.
