A woman has left people in hysterics after revealing she received a call from her son's school to come in and pick up an 'inappropriate' toy.

Mum Marie, who is also heavily pregnant, had been having a little nap at home when the phone rang. It was the school asking her to come in - and when she asked why, she was told that there was an 'inappropriate' item she needed to collect from the office, which had been confiscated.

Marie said she immediately realised what it was they were talking about - and felt completely mortified.

In a video shared on her TikTok page, basicbakingandmemarie, she said: "So I put the phone down, and it has dawned on me - I know exactly what they are... I think I know exactly what they are. And I just can't believe this kid!

"So you know those Crollocks? The dangly Crocs charms - they're dangly balls that go on the back of Crocs. Yesterday he had one dangling off his Air Up bottle and I think he's taken his Air Up bottle to school with a dangly Croc b**lock hanging off of it."

She later resumed her video from outside the school as she prepared to go in, admitting she felt too ashamed to walk through the door. "Why does he do these things to me?" she said. "Oh God this is so embarrassing. Does anyone else's kids do this to them? I'm 9 months pregnant!2" Marie did eventually pluck up the courage to go to the office - and returned with an envelope containing the offending item.

The video has been watched more than 321,000 times, with people laughing about the situation in the comments. "I've worked as a TA for 16yrs. I don't see why they couldn't wait till you picked him up. 100% talk of the staff room but funny side not bad!" one wrote.

A second echoed: "You know all the teachers laughed about this in the staff room!" and a third said: "You do realise this has lifted the spirits of the school staff no end. He will now be legendary!"

A fourth confessed: "Brilliant! I took my mum's fluffy handcuffs in once, they were also sent home in a brown envelope!!"

Marie later shared a little update with her followers, writing: "Apparently his teachers didn't tell him off.... just said it was inappropriate to be hanging off his water bottle in the classroom!!"
