The EuroMillions has been and gone and no one was lucky enough to scoop the £67million prize.

Tonight's game - the second of the twice-weekly draws - took place at approximately 8.45pm. And after no one bagged Friday's £67m lottery jackpot, the prize money has now increased to £75million..

To play the twice-weekly game, Brit players choose six numbers from one to 59 or choose a lucky dip - and best of all, it costs just £2 per ticket. And as well as being in with a chance of winning serious cash, playing the National Lottery's Lotto also helps raise around £30m each week for UK good causes.

John and Patricia Gill scooped the prize on Christmas Day in 2015, and are now converting a detached property. Patricia said: “The win has bought us time – the time to do so much with our lives. John is now in the process of building our dream home.” The couple are doing the bulk of the work on the former bungalow themselves. They hope to move in in the spring.

Patricia, 60, said her husband, who has an engineering background, has always been “handy”. She added: “He prefers to do it himself. Now that he has retired, it gives him something to get his teeth into.”

She added: “I brush up, I make the tea, I do the sandwich run, but I’ve also been sanding down the door frames, so anything I can do I will get stuck in. I like to keep it clean and tidy because if you are working in a tidy environment it is so much nicer.”

National Lottery winner scooped £2m – but still ended up sleeping on lilo on pub floor

A National Lottery splurged his £2million win and ended up in court in a row over £400, sleeping on the floor of his own pub.

When Mike Antonucci scooped the jackpot in 1995, he believed he was set for life and quit his job as an antiques dealer. He went on an international spending spree during which he purchased luxury cars and yachts, and splashed out on a pub, nightclub and massage parlour.

Mike also bought a £200,000 speedboat and £250,000 apartment, and tied the knot with Kelly Arkins, a glamour model, in a lavish £10,000 ceremony in the Bahamas. The lottery winner also splurged £4,500 on Kelly's breast implants.

But the marriage lasted just three months and Mike's various business ventures, including his own pop band, proved unsuccessful. The former antiques dealer, now 74, ended up sleeping on a lilo in one of the pubs he ran in Plymouth, Devon. Since then he has remained under the radar – he was last reported to be working as a furniture exporter and living "day to day".

National Lottery operator donated £20,000 to Tories after winning licence battle

A Czech billionaire’s gambling firm donated £20,000 to the Tories just a year after winning a controversial battle to run the UK’s National Lottery.

The Gambling Commission, a government body, handed the licence to run the Lottery to Allwyn, Europe’s biggest lottery operator, in March 2022. The bitter competition had been plagued by months of legal wrangling - but Allwyn will finally take over the licence from next month.

The firm, previously known as Sazka before rebranding during the bidding process, pledged to double charitable donations to £38billion over the next decade and to slash ticket prices to £1. And in November last year, they made a donation worth £20,000 to the 1922 Committee, the Conservative Party’s parliamentary association.

Allwyn is owned by 53-year-old oil tycoon Karel Komarek, who has previously faced questions over his links with Russian-state energy giant Gazprom.

What's the UK Millionaire Maker?

Since November 2009, at least one UK player has won a guaranteed £1,000,000 every week as part of the UK Millionaire Maker game.

Where is EuroMillions played?

EuroMillions is a lottery played across nine European countries - the UK, Ireland, Spain, France, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Portugal and Switzerland. The game launched on 7th February, 2004, and has now had over 1,000 draws.

How to play EuroMillions

The draw takes place every Tuesday and Friday evening at 8pm. Players have to choose five main numbers from 1 to 50, along with two Lucky Stars between 1 and 12.

You can either pick the numbers yourself, purchase a Lucky Dip or use a random number generator to create an entry.

You can enter up to seven lines on a single play slip at a UK retailer. Purchase your entries before the cutoff time for that draw.

Relax and wait for the results!
