Chris Eubank's son Joseph has appeared in court after being charged with raping a teenage girl.
Eubank, 27, is accused of attacking the alleged victim near Brighton Pier in July 2022. Joseph appeared at Brighton Magistrates' Court on Thursday and was charged with two counts of raping a woman over the age of 16. A police investigation was launched after the teen alleged she was raped near the Brighton pier on July 16, 2022.
The youngest son of British boxing legend Eubank, a former two-weight world champion, spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address. Joseph, who wore a grey coat, white top and white trainers to his hearing, was released on conditional bail and is set to appear at Lewes Crown Court next month.
"I'm sending your case for these two charges to the Crown Court at Lewes for trial," District Judge Richard Hawgood told him. "These are matters which can only be dealt with at crown court due to the nature and seriousness of these allegations." The teen was supported by specialist officers whilst Joseph was arrested and later charged.
As part of Eubank's bail conditions, he will be permitted from applying for travel documents to allow him to travel outside England and Wales. Joseph was also handed a curfew between 8pm and 8am, subject to doorstep checks by police. Unlike his dad and elder brother Chris Jr, Joseph is not a professional boxer.

Chris Sr is widely regarded as one of the best British boxers ever, mostly being remembered for his heated feud with bitter rival Nigel Benn. Eubank handed Benn the first defeat of his career when they met in 1990 with over 42,000 fans attending their rematch that ended in a draw three years later.
The 57-year-old defended his super-middleweight world title 14 times before eventually losing it to Steve Collins. Eubank failed to win his belt back in their rematch as he suffered defeats to Joe Calzaghe and Carl Thompson before retiring for good in 1998 with an impressive record of or 45-5-2.
