Hannah Spearritt had a blunt response to a question about Rachel Stevens amid a reported "feud" between the pair.
The S Club star is joining the new series of Dancing On Ice, where she has been partnered with Andy Buchanan. However, comedian Lou Sanders has been paired up with professional skater Brendyn Hatfield, who is dating Hannah's ex-bandmate Rachel Stevens.
Brendyn and Rachel got together in 2022 when they were on the show together, but were eliminated in just the third week. If Rachel heads to watch her beau from the audience, there is a chance that the pair could be kept apart.
"Falling on the ice is going to feel warm and painless compared to the cold front that will envelop Dancing On Ice if their paths cross. The best hope is that Hannah and Rachel are kept apart. But given the series lasts for two months and they could both be in the studio at the same time, that’s not going to be easy," a source told The Sun of the pair's feud.
During an appearance on Lorraine, Hannah was asked whether she had got some tips from her former bandmate ahead of the new series. There was a moment of pause before Hannah replied: "I'm just focusing on me. I know that sounds so selfish."
Sam Faiers defends sleeping in separate room to partner Paul for six yearsThe Mirror has contacted both Hannah and Rachel's representatives for comment.
Hannah previously spoke about why she pulled out of the reunion tour.
"I was extremely excited - we all were - to get back as a seven. But then Paul died and everything changed. It gave me time to reflect on whether it was the right thing for me to do. I hadn’t been in the best of health - I’ve got a compromised immune system and stress makes it worse. My body just couldn’t cope with everything that was happening. I wasn’t myself. I was getting these crippling panic attacks, was suffering from really bad vertigo and was tired all the time," she said.
"It was affecting my kids too, because I had no energy to do anything with them. The more I started to think about what it was that I wanted, the more I realised that I just couldn’t go back. It was causing me a great deal of stress."
Hannah had previously said she is "really excited" to join the new series of Dancing On Ice. She shared: "I'm really excited about learning a new skill. It's so easy to live your comfortable life and that aspect of mixing things up is very appealing. Fitness is another reason why I’m doing it! It's really exciting."
