Carol Vorderman has landed a new hosting role, with it teased that she will be using her voice to "cause a commotion" as the host of a brand new show.
It's been announced that the presenter, 63, is joining radio station LBC to front a new show on Sunday afternoons. Carol has teased that she "won't be shy to say things that others won't" on the show, which launches this weekend.
LBC said that the show, which will air from 4pm to 7pm, will be "packed with opinion and intelligent debate". It added: "Carol's new show will see her tackling the biggest stories and issues that matter to [our] audience across the UK."
Carol - who rose to fame on Countdown - has been a guest presenter on LBC in recent weeks. She now joins the likes of Nick Ferrari, Andrew Marr, Shelagh Fogarty and Iain Dale, who each have their own show on the radio station.
LBC said that Carol joins its broadcasting line-up "following a huge response from listeners". It added that audiences will be able to listen back to her show "on demand at any time," along with its other programmes, through its official app.

And obviously I can't wait to hear from the listeners – all of it, without apology or embarrassment; their worries, their joys, their ideas. To quote Bob Dylan: 'the times they are a-changin’ and I can’t wait to get started – bring it on!"
Tom Cheal, LBC's Managing Editor, said: "Carol's straight-talking and incisive opinion make her the perfect fit alongside what is already the UK's best team of speech broadcasters, and I know she will help ensure LBC continues to lead the way as the home of the UK's best opinion-led broadcasting."

The news of her LBC role comes after she spoke out over comments made about her by politician Shaun Bailey, 52, last month. He was met with criticism recently following remarks that he made about Carol on GB News.
Lord Bailey - who was inducted into the House of Lords last year - said: "Look, on one hand she's got all that stuff, you know, she's a serious political commentator, and then if you look at her Instagram it's all pictures of her bum and her boobs. So what is it here? She can't be both".
Carol responded on X, formerly known as Twitter, by referring to him as a "misogynist". She said in a tweet: "So Shaun thinks that women who wear lycra in the gym shouldn't be allowed a political opinion....or I assume a vote! Failed Mayoral candidate #SexistShaun was made a Lord last year."
#SexistShaun is understood to have trended on the platform following the incident. Shaun later told the BBC in a statement: "In a recent panel discussion, I used a clumsy form of words to describe [Carol's] Instagram posts. The point I was trying to make is Carol lives in a world of glitz and celebrity, as her Instagram portrays, but simultaneously demonises and bullies those who hold different political views to her own. I strongly support free speech. I don't support bullying."
