Zara Tindall indulged in a cheeky PDA with husband Mike as they enjoyed a day at the beach during their annual trip to Australia.

King Charles' eldest niece wore an eye-catching floral bikini as she hugged her former rugby player husband during a trip to Byron Bay. The couple were spotted enjoying a cooling dip in the sea before showing their affection as they dried themselves off. Mum-of-three and champion equestrian Zara then wrapped a towel around her waist and was seen beaming as she shielded her face from the sun with a black cap and a pair of sunglasses.

Zara and Mike usually spend this time of year in Australia as Zara is an ambassador for the Magic Millions equestrian event which is held on the Gold Coast. And their beach appearance Down Under is a marked difference from Christmas Day when they joined the rest of the Royal Family from the festive season at Sandringham.

The couple joined the rest of the royals in the annual Christmas Day walk to church and were seen holding hands with their younger daughter Lena, aged four. Their oldest daughter Mia, who turns 10 next week, walked with the Prince and Princess of Wales and sweetly held hands with Prince Louis.

It came just days after Mike was warned he was in "so much trouble" after revealing his rather unflattering three-word nickname for Prince William. Mike made the admission on a special podcast he recorded alongside Zara, a cousin of the Prince of Wales, with Rugby League legend Rob Burrow, who is living with Motor Neurone Disease.

In the chat, Rob was keen to know if the pair have any nicknames for each other or for other members of the Royal Family, including William, Kate, King Charles or Queen Camilla. And speaking about William, Mike revealed: "For the Prince of Wales, he is known as One Pint Willy. He is known to me as One Pint Willy because he is not the best of drinkers, coming from a sport where it is built on the social aspect and a couple of beers being sunk quite often. That is one I will definitely give away for the Prince of Wales."

However, after the revelation, a giggling Zara warned her husband: "Oh my god. You are in so much trouble." When it came to nicknames for each other Mike said: "We basically call each other munchkins a lot. I don’t know why that started but it has stuck. I will let Zara decide whether she wants to give away what I am down in her phone as.."

And later in the chat, Zara only revealed: "He is in my phone as something else and it ends with kitten."

Zara and Mike are known to be close to the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children. And earlier this year, William and Kate appeared on Mike's own podcast The Good, The Bad and The Rugby. And on it, Mike also revealed Kate's super competitive nature, he said: "I'm not going to say you're uber competitive but I've seen her play beer pong!" However, Kate replied: "I'm not competitive at all."

Mike also got the pair to open up about the competitiveness between them, especially when it comes to tennis and Kate went on to tell of the intense battles that the pair have on court. I don't think we've actually been able to finish a game of tennis. It becomes a mental challenge between the two of us," she said, with William agreeing: “It is who can out mental each other."
