Miss the days of punching those physical plastic keyboards on your BlackBerry? There could be some good news on its way with a new case launching for iPhone that brings back those keys. That means you get full qwerty buttons rather than using the screen to bash out emails or send WhatsApp messages.

This latest accessory has been created by the team at Clicks and is even being backed by US YouTube star MrMobile. The idea is very simple with owners simply slotting their device into the case with a connection automatically made via the USB-C or Lightning connecter tucked inside.

"Clicks takes the things you love most about the iPhone and makes them even better: more screen, new ways to create, and shortcuts that make you feel like you have superpowers," explained Michael Fisher, AKA MrMobile.

Once in place, the keyboard becomes active allowing you to type away without touching the screen. Along with making typing faster, there's another bonus as, without those on-display letters popping up, you also get more space to read and reply to emails or write documents on the move.

The keys even glow up at night making it easy to see what you are writing when the lights get low. According to its creators, the case doesn't affect battery life and its passthrough port even allows you to charge the iPhone without removing the keyboard.

"Clicks is the product so many iPhone users have been waiting for," said keybord guru CrackBerry Kevin. "A way to combine a keyboard with all the things they love about iPhone. Clicks brings together tactile typing with the iPhone experience. They’re the perfect pair. I’ve been using Clicks over the past year and they’ve nailed the experience. After a couple of weeks that muscle memory kicks in and you’ll never want to take Clicks off your iPhone."

It's just gone on sale in the US for $139 - it's unclear when a global launch will take place but hopefully more news will be revealed soon.
