Love Island star Liam Reardon has returned to his day job of being a bricklayer - three years after finding fame on the hit ITV show.

The 24-year-old Welshman was a contestant on ITV2’s reality romance show in 2021 where he fell for 27-year-old Millie Court and the pair went on to win the competition. Now, almost three years since finding fame on the reality show, Liam is back working as a tradesman - and it seems Millie is more than happy to act as his cheerleader as he gets to grips with physical labour.

Former fashion buyer Millie took to TikTok this week to reveal she had been let in Liam’s van while he got to work. She updated fans to let them know that he was out completing some building work - and expressed her frustration that he was out of her line of view.

Taking to the social media app, Millie shared a clip of herself inside Liam’s van while sporting a puffy coat and clutching a designer handbag. She complained about the state of her boyfriend’s van before explaining that she wished she could watch him hard at work.

She told fans: "Liam's just left me in the van, and it's so dirty. He had to finish off his job, and then he said he'd take me for breakfast afterwards. I've been sitting in here for quite a long time, and I can't even see him.

"I can't even watch him be sexy. So I'm just staring at a fence right now, and it's freezing in here. He's turned the van off. I regret telling him to turn it off."

Her short update drew the attention of fans who were all impressed to hear that Liam was earning an honest living away from the glare of the showbiz spotlight. One fan commented: "Rate the fact he’s still a brickie." Another added: "I just LOVE how he's still a tradesman - you guys are so real."

And a further fan commented: "I didn’t know he was still a brickie," to which Millie replied: "He’s a grafter." Liam has previously opened up about his love of the tradesman life - and explained he plans to one day run a successful property business.

He said in a past interview: “I loved being a brickie before winning Love Island so I want to go into the property business… I’ve started looking but will focus on the business in the New Year.”

Liam and Millie have had something of an on-off romance in the years since they appeared on Love Island - with Liam moving back to Wales after they broke up and then rekindled their romance, while Millie is native to Essex. And it seems Liam hopes his business can one day stretch from Wales to the east of England.

He explained: “I’ll start off in Wales because the house prices are a lot cheaper there. Plus that's the area where I have all my mates in the same industry. There's an electrician, plumber, carpenter. They can all help and get involved in the business.

He added: “My dad is in the property business too so can give me advice and help out. He's my inspiration for wanting to do it. Hopefully, I'll then be able to start doing up properties in Essex and other places. I am driven to be successful and feel passionate about property.”

Love Island fans will soon see a string of familiar faces return to the villa as they embark on a second chance at love in the spin-off show Love Island: All-Stars. Maya Jama is due to jet to South Africa this month with a host of past contestants who will be coupling, uncoupling, kissing and no doubt arguing.

The launch of the new season is set for Monday 15 January - however, a list of former contestants and the length of the spin-off show have not yet been confirmed by ITV.
