Judi Love has revealed she was racially profiled in a 'well known' store in front of her children this weekend.
The Loose Women star took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share her upset at what she described as 'preconceived prejudice' from a security guard. The mum said she was asked to show her receipt as proof of purchase as she went to leave the shop.
Judi told her followers that she responded by 'publicly educating' the staff member against their 'ignorance'. The ITV presenter and comedian said her children commented on the incident at the time and later relayed what had happened to other family members, causing further distress.
Recalling the incident to her 50,000 followers Judi wrote: "Yesterday I went shopping with my children in a well know store. The security guard chose to ask me to show him my receipt for my item! I refused because I watched him let a number of people who didn’t look like me walk out the without requesting their receipt!
"I’m p****d because I’m a mum first and was simply shopping with my children, how dare you! Approach me with your preconceived prejudice, perceptions and subject my children to this! My children saw and commented.. And even relayed the events later on the family members!!

Yesterday would have been a wrap for you trust me. Not because I’m in the public eye but because I’m a mum and I stand on principals.. I did and would of publicly again educated you of your ignorance!!" [sic].
"For those that needs it typed out to understand! It’s called Racial Profiling!" Judi finished her post.
When asked by her followers to name and shame the shop in question, Judi refused, writing: "Chosen not to name the shop as this might not be their ethos however I have contacted them directly because if it is then they will need a schooling too! This is not about me being in the public eye it’s about me just being a person. Treat all people with respect not judgement."
The comedian, 43, is mum to two children; an 18-year-old daughter and a 12-year-old son. Judi usually keeps her kids out of the spotlight, with her social media posts usually reserved for comedy sketches and opinions.

The mum has shared before a heartbreaking conversation she had to have with her son about racism.
Speaking on the lunchtime show Judi said: "As a black parent, having the have that conversation with my son at seven years old and explaining to him, 'you're a young black boy, and you might be put in a situation where you are judged solely on the basis of your skin' is heartbreaking.
"You see this young child's eyes change, this child who has friends from so many different backgrounds and now have to take this on."
Judi has always said she is encouraging her children to never allow statistics or stereotypes to stop them from achieving their dreams. Speaking during Black History Month, Judi received a round of applause from the Loose Women panel after giving a passionate and powerful speech about her experience as a black person.
In conversation with panelists Kaye Adams, Stacey Solomon and Nadia Sawalha about the October celebration, Judi explained how a focus on historical racism can lead to secondary trauma for younger generations of black people.
She also explained why she believes we should be celebrating black culture beyond Black History Month too. "I don't want it to be just a month", she said. "I'm not black for a month I'm black all the time, so let's use the month to celebrate."
