Actor Jamie Dornan admits he was 'stalked' by crazed Fifty Shades of Grey fans after starring as Christian Grey in the Hollywood blockbuster movies.
Based on the erotic book trilogy by E. L. James, the films follows the lead character Anastasia Steele as she encounters wealthy entrepreneur Christain Grey, who leads her down a dark path and flips her world upside down. It stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, as well as Luke Grimes, Rita Ora, and Eloise Mumford.
The best-selling book released in 2015 sold over 150 million copies worldwide and gained a dedicated fanbase. The first film pocketed $500m at the global office after hitting the big screen in 2011. It was the first major movie Jamie has starred in and is widely considered his breakthrough performance. Before the role, the 41-year-old acted in the crime drama television series The Fall.

The 41-year-old actor portrays Elliot in BBC's The Tourist (David Betteridge / SWNS.com)However, the Belfast star, who currently stars as the amnesiac Elliot in BBC drama The Tourist, which is set to return in January with a second series, confessed there had been some downsides to his popularity. He admits he still receives messages and theories form insane fans, including speculation that he and co-star Dakota have a life together, despite him being happily married to another woman.
Speaking to the Irish Times, Dornan said: "The fandom of that franchise is still feverish. They’ve got all kinds of mad theories. Like that Dakota [Johnson, his Fifty Shades costar] and I have a child together. I don’t know who they think brings it up!" Jamie also claims he was followed after a tabloid revealed where he lived. "At one point, we had a stalking, getting-the-authorities involved situation," he said before adding: "all kinds of mad stuff, which if I’m honest I’m quite fearful of, so I stay away from it."

Away from the spotlight, Jamie is a dad of three and is currently married to his wife and fellow actor Amelia Warner. He once revealed that he 'always fancied' Amelia, 41 - who starred in Casualty and Waking the Dead - before meeting her at a mutual friend's party in 2010.
He said on Face to Face in 2018: "I had this weird thing where I always felt that if I met her that we would just get on. It was just a strange thing. Something about her eyes. I just thought that we would work." The couple married in 2013, three years after they met, and now have three daughters, Dulcie, 10, Elva, seven, and Alberta, four, and reportedly live in a £1.75million farmhouse in the Cotswolds, having moved from LA.
