Warzone Season 1 Reloaded will be the battle royale title's first major content update since launch. Here's when we expect the mid-season update will start.

The new MW3-inspired Warzone finally launched in December following the release of the MW3 Season 1 update, with players able to jump into the new Urzikstan map, which is much like Verdansk, the iconic map that's rumoured to be returning in 2024. But with the Warzone CODMAS event now up and running, it's time to look ahead to what we can expect in the title's next major scheduled update; Warzone Season 1 Reloaded.

Here's when we expect the Warzone Season 1 Reloaded start date will be, as well as a look at some new content including a new Champions Quest and new weapons.

Warzone Season 1 Reloaded: start date

We expect the Warzone Season 1 Reloaded start date will be January 17, 2024. We can confidently predict the Warzone Season 1 Reloaded start date as that is when the current season's Battle Pass expires in-game. Every major Warzone update typically happens on a Wednesday, and this also matches the above date.

This means there will be a bigger gap between Season 1 and Season 1 Reloaded compared to the previous iteration of Warzone, with Warzone 2 Season 1 Reloaded dropping on December 14, 2022, exactly four weeks after the Warzone 2 release date.

Warzone Season 1 Reloaded: Champions Quest

Thankfully, ahead of the launch of Warzone Season 1 Reloaded, Activision has shared a blog post detailing some small nuggets of information about what players can expect, including a new Champions Quest.

Following its launch last year, the Champions Quest has been a very popular addition to Warzone, giving players the chance to get a nuke by winning five matches in a row and then completing some difficult challenges to instantly win a match, with additional rewards also on offer.

Although the Champions Quest was missing from Warzone Season 1, the good news is that it will make its return in Season 1 reloaded, but with a twist: "Players can expect a new Champion’s Quest with fresh rewards for those brave and strategic enough to complete it – or steal it..."

The ability to steal a Champions Quest from another team trying to complete it is a really interesting change and is sure to lead to some intense gunfights in Urzikstan.

Warzone Season 1 Reloaded: new weapons

Activision has also confirmed that there will be several new weapons and aftermarket parts available for Warzone for Season 1 Reloaded, including:

But there's still plenty of time to hone your skills ahead of Season 1 Reloaded, so why not take a look at the best Warzone loadouts and the best Warzone graphics settings, which are sure to help your K/D.
