This is the shocking moment brazen Christmas crooks steal thousands of pounds of alcohol from Tesco's.
A group of thieves filled their bags with booze, just a few days before Christmas, as they robbed the Tesco Express store in Cricklewood, London Not trying to hide their criminality, the four of them, dressed in black coats, filled plastic bags until they were nearly bursting with bottles of wine and other alcohol.
The group are completely undeterred despite being openly filmed, and continue to stock up on the stolen alcohol. Two men are crouched at the front, filling their bags as two others scurry back and forth, grabbing drinks from the higher shelves.
The shocking robbery unfolded on Thursday 21 December and the clip was shared widely online. where some people asked where security or staff were at the time of the robbery. But one person said: “We as staff in Tesco can’t stop or challenge shoplifters so this will be happening on a regular basis just saying."
A spokesperson for the Met Police said: "We are aware of video footage which appears to show a man stealing items from a Tesco store in Cricklewood on Thursday, 21 December. An incident, which we believe is related, was reported to police on 21 December after the suspect had left the premises.
