Geordie Shore fans might want to wear a hat while watching an upcoming episode - as it will feature a wedding.
The long-running MTV reality show has been on air since 2011 and chronicles the messy relationships between a colourful cast of Newcastle natives. But while many romances and explosive break ups have been documented by the show, there hasn’t once been a wedding featured in the series. Until now.
And indeed there is set to be not one but two weddings featured on the next season of the show. Geordie Shore will return to screens for a 24th season - which will follow some of the cast as they jet to Cyprus to cause mayhem in the sun.
Fans already know that Marnie Simpson and Casey Johnson will walk down the aisle in one of the new episodes. However, Kyle Christie - who first appeared on the show back in 2014 before quitting in 2016 but is now returning to the show - will be shown swapping vows with his now wife, Vicky Turner.

Magazine)A source told The Sun: "MTV bosses are delighted that Kyle Christie has agreed to film his wedding to Vicky Turner for the show. The last series that they just shot, which will air in the new year, was full of nasty fallouts as the cast had explosive rows in Cyprus, culminating in Charlotte Crosby quitting.

"The wedding will hopefully bring the group back together and create some harmony again, although this being Geordie Shore, there is sure to be plenty of drama in the mix too." The new season will feature the build up to Kyle and Vicky’s wedding before the big day itself unfolds in front of cameras.
Kyle has been engaged to Vicky since September - as he got down on one knee to propose to the model and she said ‘yes’. The romantic moment was highlighted on Kyle’s instagram page - which he shared alongside a note stating: “Mr & Mrs Christie coming soon…here’s to forever.” The romantic moment was met with a wall of support and messages of congratulations from friends and fans at the time.
Many Geordie Shore cast members and alumni were among those reacting to the footage, with Marnie Simpson writing: “OMGGGGGGG I’m SOOOOOOO F*****g happy for you” alongside fire and heart emojis. Vicky Pattison wrote: “Omg!!! Congratulations you two!!! This is beautiful.” Chloe Ferry joined tin the celebrations, writing “congrats” alongside a clapping hand emoji. And Charlotte Crosby gushed: “Congrats to you and Vicky!” She added: “Kyle I’m over the moon for you.”
Meanwhile, Marnie and Casey became husband and wife back in April this year - with their wedding day set to feature on the new season of Geordie Shore next month. The couple gushed about their big day to OK! Magazine back in the spring.
Casey said: “Marnie walking down the aisle is a once-in-a-lifetime experience – I’ll never forget that feeling… I was focused on her, it felt like no one else was there. It was incredible.”
