Friends actress Courteney Cox has been seen smiling after heading out for dinner a week after Matthew Perry's cause of death was revealed.

The Monica Geller star, 59, was seen last night after dinner with friends at the Nobu Restaurant in Malibu, with the brunette beauty all smiles. Cutting a casual figure, Courteney wore light blue jeans with a grey jumper, and had a grey jacket draped over her arm and a black bag on her shoulder.

Last week it was revealed that Courteney's Friends co-star Matthew Perry, 54, had "high levels of ketamine" in his system before dying in his hot tub in October at his Los Angeles home.

In the medical report obtained by The Mirror, it revealed Matthew was sober for 19 months after battling addiction for many years. He was on ketamine infusion therapy to help with his addiction.

The report read: "At the high levels of ketamine found in his postmortem blood specimens, the main lethal effects would be from both cardiovascular overstimulation and respiratory depression."

Almost two weeks after Matthew's death, Courteney was spotted out in public for the first time following her former co-star's passing. She was seen with her boyfriend Johnny McDaid, with the pair leaving restaurant Nobu with friends after dinner.

In the hit NBC sitcom, Courteney played the role of Monica Geller. In the series, Monica was the love interest of Matthew's character Chandler Bing.

The pair ended up getting married and welcoming twins. They were friends for many early seasons, but at Ross's wedding began to cross the Platonic barrier.

The cast of Friends a statement at the time of Matthew's death that read: "We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.

"In time we will say more, as and when we are able," the statement continues. "For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world."
