Richard Madeley has revealed he's 'banned' from cooking Christmas dinner as he opened up about his festive plans.
Speaking on Monday's Good Morning Britain, Richard, 67, and co-star Charlotte Hawkins discussed using an air fryer to cook Christmas dinner, debating whether it was 'cheating'.
To which Richard confessed: "I mean, I was going to cook our Christmas dinner, I usually cook Christmas dinner, but I've been banned actually from cooking Christmas dinner. Apparently, I turn into a tyrant in the kitchen." Talking about his family's festive plans, he added: "So we're actually going out on Christmas Day."
It comes as James Haskell previously shared details of his Christmas with former father-in-law Richard. James, who sadly announced his split from Richard's daughter Chloe Madeley back in October, opened up earlier this year before parting ways with his wife.

The rugby star said of the Good Morning Britain host: "He can get quite fiery in the kitchen." James then went on to recall the first time he ever met the longtime TV presenter on Boxing Day and the warning his then wife Chloe gave him.

He said: "I was told he can be a little bit tricky in the kitchen, don’t go in there. Of course that was a red rag to a bull." Smiling, he added: "Son-in-law wanting to make a good impression, so I went in there and gave him a bit of chat. He used one of those F-words."
James continued at the time: "So, this year [2022] he was thrown out of the kitchen because we wanted to be stress-free. Chloe’s brother Dan cooked an absolute storm and smashed it. Very relaxing. We were looked after like royalty."
Chloe Madeley recently sadly announced her split from husband James Haskell (Instagram)Richard's daughter, Chloe, 36, recently announced her split from her former rugby professional player husband James, 38, at the end of October. The pair confirmed they had parted ways in September, after sparking concerns for their marriage as they both appeared without their rings. The pair married in 2018 and welcomed daughter Bodhi into the word in August 2022.
In a statement, she wrote: "James and I mutually decided separate at the end of September, 2023. We had not planned on releasing a statement at this time - certainly not while the television show was airing - but constant speculation about our marriage has, unfortunately, forced our hand. Beyond this statement, we will not be speaking about this matter publicly, and we would request privacy at this time. Our sole focus now is our beautiful daughter. We shall continue to co-parent with nothing but love."
