Diane Parish has seemingly let slip that Jack Branning will survive the Christmas murder on EastEnders.

There has been much speculation about who will die this Christmas on the BBC soap. In shocking scenes, in a flashforward that aired in February, The Six women - Denise (Diane Parish), Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), Linda (Kellie Bright), Sharon (Letitia Dean), Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Suki (Balvinder Sopal) - were seen standing around a body.

However, we are yet to find out who the man is, why he was there and why he was killed. All the women have a motive to get rid of certain men in their life, with Jack now being a prime candidate for Denise after his affair with Stacey. But has Denise actress Diane dropped a huge hint that Jack will survive well into the New Year?

Asked if there was any scope for Jack and Denise to reunite after Stacey's betrayal, she told The Mirror and other press of the potential future for the couple: "I think based on the kind of relationships that Denise has had in the past and the angst and issues they've had as a family - and we joke, me, Scott, Ellie and little Frankie, and call ourselves the Dysfunctionals. Because we've got so much going on that I think you do get those fractured families that do just keep on making it back somehow.

"Maybe there is way back - but I don't know. I would like to think that there's a way back for them as a family because what I've loved about this family is - you've got everything in there. We're diverse, we're a middle aged couple that has been through it all but work through it all. The mix of our families in terms of Patrick and his relationship with Jack has been lovely to watch."

But does Diane's answers hint that Jack - played by Scott Maslen - could actually end up surviving the Christmas murder? We know one man will die this festive season - but who will it be?

So far, there are seven men in the frame to be the Christmas body including Jack Branning, Phil Mitchell, Ravi Gulati, Nish Panesar, Keanu Taylor, Dean Wicks and Rocky Cotton - with one man set to lose his life. With Christmas only a few days away, Jack and Denise will hardly have time to sort through their issues before the big day hits, so does this hint Jack will survive the murder?
