I'm A Celeb fans disgusted by Nigel Farage over detail in Coming Out show

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! fans have been left disgusted by Nigel Farage after spotting a gross detail in the Coming Out show on Wednesday.

The finalists of the ITV reality series are getting back to normal life, after being away from their loved ones and stripped of their home comforts for several weeks. Former Ukip leader Nigel, who placed third on I'm A Celebrity behind runner-up Tony Bellew and winner Sam Thompson, has now revealed one of his first meals outside of the camp.

When they weren't being forced to chow down icky dishes during challenges, the celebrities subsisted primarily on a sparse diet of rice and beans. Occasionally, treats like tea, bacon and fruit were delivered as a reward for doing well in the Bushtucker Trials.

Nigel Farage has now awakened his palate with an interesting assortment of foods: sardines, Toblerone and beer. The odd combination has had quite the reaction from fans of the show, many of whom have taken to social media to share their thoughts.

""Why am I not surprised that Nigel is a sardine kind of man," one person wrote, while another said: "Toblerone & sardines, interesting choices there Nigel." A third admitted that they understood the choice of alcohol but were mystified by the fishy snack, writing, "Beer i can understand but sardines??!?!?"

It's also been said that Nigel was allowed to smoke in the jungle after reaching a compromise with the show producers. It's understood that the Brexit campaigner almost rejected a place on the series because of its cigarette ban, but agreed to participate after finding a way to continue his nicotine habit in the jungle.

Speaking on the Paper Cuts podcast, Ava Evans said: 'Would you like some insider knowledge of why Nigel Farage was considering not doing it? It is the smoking ban. You can't smoke and he is a very heavy smoker." Host Miranda Sawyer then asked, "Will they let him smoke at the back?", to which the political journalist replied: "I think that's being negotiated." Ava also added, "That was a discussion that Chris Moyles also had last year because he is also a very heavy smoker.'

After returning to England, Nigel took to Instagram to share a video message of gratitude to his followers. "I'm back! A massive thank you to everyone who supported and voted for me in the Jungle!" he captioned the clip. "I'm back, and I'll tell you what, I've got a lot to say," he added in the short video.

Nigel was reportedly paid an eye-watering £1.2 million for his I'm A Celebrity appearance, which is the highest fee a contestant has ever received for participating.
