Reality star Charlotte Crosby revealed she has been suffering from suspected pneumonia after being taken to the hospital following weeks of coughing.

The Geordie Shore icon, 33, had been struggling with on-and-off coughing and chest infections for almost two months before she went to the hospital. Taking to her Instagram Stories, Charlotte shared a mirror selfie as she rocked matching cream-coloured pyjamas with her blonde hair tied up in a messy bun.

"It's been a very long 5/6 weeks of on and off coughing/ chest infections. And the whole time I've been struggling I've been doing the very most work-wise," she explained. "Travelling up and down the country, trains, cars and almost planes. A couple of occasions even losing my entire voice at work. I've not been able to carry out some of the stuff I've had to."

The star continued: "Only last week it just got so bad it was unbearable. Not even having 1 minute in between coughing fits!

"After 2 courses of antibiotics failed to shift anything I finally realised I had to slow the f*** down and get to hospital... So that's where I spent most of yesterday in and out of doctors and hospital! with suspected pneumonia. I've been able to come home now and rest at home with a new course of antibiotics. So this is where I shall be for the foreseeable."

Last month, Charlotte spoke about having more children with her fiancé Jake Ankers. She recently got engaged to boyfriend Jake after he popped the question just one year after welcoming their first child. The reality TV legend announced the happy news on social media earlier last month, revealing her beau of two years Jake had gotten down on one knee.

She discussed her wedding plans on a segment of This Morning. The star said she wants a long engagement and more children before tying the knot, suggesting her wedding will probably take place in either 2026 or 2027. The reality star got emotional as she admitted: "More babies are my priority, I love being a mum. It's the best thing that has ever happened to me. It is so fulfilling!", added that she wants five children.

Getting teary, Charlotte continued: "I even feel like, I got a little bit emotional saying that, because no honestly I just love being a mum. It's just changed my life, I feel like the person I am now is just... she's [Alba Jean] made us feel like I'm born again!"
