Changes are afoot in the Andre household as former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star Peter Andre announced his plans to relieve duties from his pregnant wife, Emily.
Peter and Emily revealed they are expecting their child together in April. Mysterious Girl singer Peter, who shares Junior Andre and Princess Andre with his ex, Katie Price, is also dad to Amelia, nine, and Theo, six, with 34-year-old Emily.
Now, with Christmas Day just two weeks away, the 50-year-old has admitted the family still haven't got around to putting the decorations up. But Emily can fear not, as Peter has promised to take charge of the festivities himself.
"I can’t believe we’re in the third week of December – where has the time gone? At the time of writing my column, my Christmas tree isn’t even up!" he admitted to OK! magazine. "I promised Emily that I’d take care of it this year – I think she would have put it up in November if she had her way – so that’s on my to-do list now."
Pete, who recently landed a guest presenting role on GB News, also admitted: "I’ll definitely have some Christmas songs on in the background. My favourites are all the classics, like Last Christmas by Wham!, Band-Aid’s Do They Know It’s Christmas? and The Pogues’ hit song, Fairytale Of New York. I also need to start buying presents... There’s not enough hours in the day!"
Greggs, Costa & Pret coffees have 'huge differences in caffeine', says reportLast month, meanwhile Peter explained that he makes the most of Christmas every year with his kids because he was never allowed to celebrate it growing up. He told the Mirror: "I’m still kind of new at this because I grew up in a very religious household and we didn’t celebrate Christmas. I grew up in a strict household of Jehovah's Witnesses.
"We didn't celebrate birthdays or Christmas or anything like that. I still respect everything I learned, even though I'm not part of the faith." The singer then explained: "But one of the things is a lot of people say is: 'Do you feel you missed out' and I say: 'Well, you don't know any different'."
He continued: "But, now the kids are going through it I get to live it through them and it's beautiful. It may even be more special because it's their first time but it's also mine." And when asked what he enjoys most about Christmas he revealed: "I enjoy seeing it through the eyes of the kids. I can tell you a thing I do not enjoy – I have to tell you this before I tell you everything I enjoy – is this flipping Elf on the Shelf! If they could start it on the 20th, that would be amazing. But when you have 25... how many ideas can Santa think of?!"
