EA Sports will be gifting players who have played EA FC 24 Ultimate Team before November 1 a free Erling Haaland player item on Sunday.
Free players being sent out in Ultimate Team has become a theme in recent years, and EA FC 24 is no different, with EA Sports aiming to give players more incentive to buy its new game. In FIFA 21, a free 86-rated David Beckham was released to all players to celebrate the ex-Manchester United and Real Madrid player becoming an Icon in the game, while a bunch of free players were sent out in FIFA 23 as part of a promotion for the 2022 World Cup.
And now, a free EA FC 24 Erling Haaland item will be given to eligible players tomorrow, meaning almost everyone will be able to own the EA FC 24 cover star, with this item given out as an EA Sports FC Founder reward bonus. Here's what time we expect the free EA FC 24 Haaland player item to be released and how to know if you are eligible.
Free EA FC 24 Erling Haaland item: release time
We expect the EA FC 24 Erling Haaland item release time will be 6pm GMT / 1pm ET / 10am PT on Sunday, December 10. EA has yet to officially confirm a release time, but based on the fact Ultimate Team promos, such as the Radioactive Team 1 squad, launch at this time, it's likely to be the time stated above.
The free EA FC 24 Erling Haaland item won't be his regular gold player item though. Instead of the standard 91-rated card, the free EA FC 24 Erling Haaland item is 87-rated, four ratings lower than his regular gold player item. If this card was released maybe a month ago it would've been great, but with so many fantastic striker options now available, an 87-rated Haaland may not prove very valuable.

There's only one thing that players must do to earn the free Haaland item - you must have loaded into EA FC 24 Ultimate Team any time before November 1, 2023. Yes, it won't be one of the best cards in the game, but at a minimum, it's free fodder for your club.
As well as the Haaland item, players will also receive a digital pair of Haaland-inspired Beats Studio Pro Viking headphones to wear in VOLTA.
The Haaland item isn't the only free player being given out in Ultimate Team, with EA releasing six free Euro 2024 player items from Monday, December 18for players who played EA FC 24 Ultimate Team beforeJanuary 16, 2024. Players will randomly receive one of the six Euro 2024 players which include the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Ousmane Dembele and Jack Grealish.
