Danielle Harold has admitted she 'never' thought she'd be pals with Nigel Farage after striking up an unlikely bond with the former Ukip leader on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here.
The EastEnders star opened up about the unlikely friendship on Wednesday night's episode of the ITV reality series, telling the Bush Telegraph that she hadn't expected it to blossom in a "million years" because the pair are "complete opposites." The confession comes less than 24 hours after Fred Sirieix became the third contestant eliminated from the jungle, after Nella Rose and Frankie Dettori. Food critic Grace Dent and Jamie Lynn Spears have also withdrawn from the show on medical grounds.
Viewers have been quick to notice that Danielle, 31, and Farage, 59, have developed a surprising friendship over the past few weeks despite their differing political opinions. The soap star previously joked about her older campmate after walking past him naked in the shower, quipping, "That’s a sight for sore eyes," before rushing to tell the fellow contestants what she'd just witnessed.
"I just saw something I never thought I’d see... Nigel’s bare a**e," Danielle told Josie, leaving the two to collapse into giggles. "I see it on the first day!" Josie admitted, before adding, "Considering he’s nearly 60 it ain’t too bad." Danielle agreed, replying, "He looks good, doesn’t he? Nice little bum."
Danielle had more kind words for Farage in the Bush Telegraph tonight, admitting she's surprised that they've become so close over the past few weeks. "I never in a million years thought I'd have a friendship like this with Nigel, ever. Ever. We're like, complete opposite in our views," she said. The candid confession comes after she made the Brexit campaigner a comfy spot to nap in her leader bus after the stars had finished their clean-up of the camp.

"I really can't believe how nice this whole camp is being to me. People are quite protective of me, you know. I'm quite sort of… I'm very touched by it," he said.
"Aw, we love ya, want to make sure you're all alright," Danielle replied. The soap star, best known for playing Lola Pearce on EastEnders, narrowly escaped elimination on Tuesday night after landing in the Bottom Two with Fred Sirieix. It was the First Dates star who was sent packing, however, after failing to win over the public vote with his antics on the show. Fred had his fair share of drama on I'm A Celebrity, clashing with Nella Rose and Farage earlier on in the series, before butting heads again with Josie Gibson over her cooking skills.
